9:11p - i woke up to feet that i took to be your shoes
Sean and I had a heated discussion about One Day at a Time this morning. He was sure Kristy McNichol was Julie, but I told him he was on crack, everybody knows Mackenzie Phillips played Julie.
I loved that show so much when I was little, I think because unlike most sitcoms, it was about a single mom with daughters so I felt like I could relate more to it than something like Eight is Enough.
Anyhow, we discovered you can actually see One Day at a Time on demand on Comcast! Also classic Fantasy Island episodes! Score.
Oddly enough, given my recent Mama & the Papas kick and the One Day at a Time discussion, the Fantasy Island episode we picked at random featured Michelle Phillips.
You know, I am all about keeping my child healthy and safe. Lord knows I watch his diet like a hawk, put bug spray and sunscreen on him, do all I can to make sure he's happy and comfortable.
But I think making your child wear a full wetsuit and a hat that has curtains 3/4 of the way around it
into the pool is just mean. "It's like SPF 500!" says his mom, "so I don't have to worry!" He's not photosensitive or anything, just a normal toddler. I don't want Cash to get sunburnt either, but that just strikes me as excessive.
