10:44p - if i die before i learn to speak
The other day, the song "Standing Outside a Broken Phone Booth With Money in My Hand" came on Bob FM and just gave me a total freak out. I haven't heard that song in probably 10 years, and when it was out, I really liked it. Owned the CD at one time and everything. Usually when I like a song that much, it stays with me and I hear it on occasion, but for whatever reason, that one got lost.
So hearing it again just dropped me into this mad kaleidoscope of emotions and memories, I unexpectedly started to cry just driving down the street. Not because the memories and emotions were so sad, it was just total overwhelm. Very weird.
So to that end, I thought up the ten most influential albums in my life, CDs that actually changed my life, or shaped who I am in a direct and tangible way.
In order of importance
1. Golden Palominos- Dead Inside 2. nin- Broken 3. The Cult- Love 4. The Church - Remote Luxury 5. Nirvana - Bleach 6. Pink Floyd - The Wall 7. Leonard Cohen - The Future 8. X - Los Angeles 9. Galaxie 500- On Fire 10. Mark Lanegan - The Winding Sheet
