[info]steph5826, Cash's Saints Crocs came today, thanks so much! They are too big for him just yet, which he's very sad about, he keeps trying to put them on and clomp around in them, but he trips :) It's funny how his Caymans and me & Sean's athens are the only shoes he is interested in, he always wants to try them on and take them off himself.

I hit my face on I think the car door the other day & have a big bruise under my eye, but neither Sean nor I had noticed it because it blends right in with my dark circles.

I don't think there's anything wrong with naming your son Roman. But when you then name your other son Milan and your daughter Venezia....that's a bit much. In my opinion.

Also, Kingston Stefani Rossdale definitely lucked out getting named that & not Zuma Nesta Rock like his brother.

There are many things I love about my husband, but one of the first things I loved about him when we met was that he's as big a proponent of retail therapy as I am, maybe more.

Last weekend we were in a bit of a post-vacation funk and he decided we'd feel better if we got some new clothes. He'd gotten an unexpected reimbursement from the VA, so we hit the clearance sites at AE and Old Navy and got a few things each (and a bunch for Cash at ON) and now it's like Christmas, waiting for the packages.

When we were first dating, we were at the mall and passed by an Express store. There was a huge poster in the window of a girl in leather pants with a big belt and a black sleeveless top. Sean slowed down and said "Man, that outfit would look so hot on you! Let's get it!" and dragged me into the store. Had me try it on, bought it all on the spot, complete with an extra top, didn't even check the pricetags.

How could I not have been smitten?

I don't even remember what happened last night, I was so tired. I kept falling asleep in Cash's room, which led to total failure of the program we're trying to follow, since that needs me to be conscious. Oh well, nothing for it but to get back on track tonight.

I did get a lot of sleep, quantity is not as good as quality but better than nothing. Cash woke up in a great mood, so I can't argue.

We did our morning routine then set off to Tonia's for swimming. Cash just screams with happiness whenever we pull up there, I dread the day we have to go there and not get in the pool!

Thankfully that day was not today. Cash is so brave now, he just goes tearing right in, will jump off the side to me and everything. I love it!

Anna & Michelle couldn't come so it was just four of us. We had a nice time, after the boys were all swum out, we went inside and let them play while we tried to hash out the logistics of our little home preschooling idea. It's hard to coordinate so many people's different schedules, but I think we'll be able to work something out.

Cash started randomly having a meltdown when everyone else was leaving, then he cheered up, then got fussy again. It was just like last night, where it comes from nowhere and has no visible cause. All I can think is that his eye teeth are coming hot on the heels of his molars & they hurt.

I picked up my bag & he started to wave bye-bye, he has been doing that lately, he figured out that when I pick up my bag we're going!

I managed to catch the finals of the show jumping after Cash fell asleep, so I got at least a paltry Olympic horse fix.

He slept for almost three hours, swimming always tuckers him out! I exercised, wrote this, worked on his Christmas wishlist, had a nice chat on the phone with Michelle. Once Mr B was awake, he ate a big helping of sweet potatoes & we went out walking. He beeps his little horn almost the whole way, it's so cute.

My only concern is that now he;s unprotected and pretty much at head level of any big dogs. We don't usually see dogs outside their fenced yards, but today a big dog was barking at us from his lawn and I started to think that if he did run over to us, I'd have no real way to protect Cash if the dog should try to bite him for any reason.

Maybe in addition to rigging up a cupholder, I need a pepper spray holster too. I've never worried about dogs coming after me, I can hold my own with a dog no problem. But Cash in that car is vulnerable in the unlikely event we run into an aggressive dog & I need to think about that!

Sean was here when we got back & said he was thinking of getting himself some KFC for dinner. I suggested that I pick him up a rotisserie chicken from the grocery instead, since I needed to go anyhow.

He & Cash split that for dinner, I had a salad.

We watched two of the last three Freaks & Geeks episodes, I think we'll probably end up buying the set.

Cash went to sleep without a hitch, but woke up two minutes later for his fourth poop of the day. I'd say I don't know what he's been eating but I do, so I'll say I don't know why it's making him poop so much!

So we had to start all over and he didn't get to sleep until ten. Now Sean is working on homework and I'm watching Fat Pets on Animal Planet.

Mr B is very skeptical of what he sees on television

And sometimes he is just plain incredulous

OMG!!!!

I love that first picture of him leaning. He wins the cool points for the day.

Venezia always makes me think of Lane Bryant jeans.

He's a cool kid!

Do they make jeans named that? I agree that it's better than naming your kid Venice, but the Italian city theme seems a bit much on 3 kids.

They've changed the name now, I think about 7 or 8 years ago, that was what they were calling their in-house brand.

Themed names for kids sort of bother me anyway. All those names are nice by themselves, but as a set? We named our cats that way, but I could never imagine not picking individual names for kids.

Gah, I do that, too. We left for our week in Myrtle Beach with a baby and came home with a toddler. I've pleaded with her to cut out the growing up stuff and she just doesn't listen. Much like when she tries to take diapers out of the trash.

Poor Zuma. What a horrible, horrible name.

that meltdown thing, than cheering up and than getting fussy again is happening here right now as well. Two molars are coming through and I also can feel number three.
Tough luck that she chose this week to do it (with my husband in Hawaii...).

Valid answer!

Fantastic Cash pictures today ... as always. :-)

P.S. Fay outer bands in the next couple of hours probably. Heavy rain pushing in later tonight/Saturday. 6-12" depending on how fast the storm moves (right now around 6mph). It could strengthen if it makes its way back over the gulf, but the track is REALLY REALLY shaky right now. Will keep an eye on things. I'd say gulf, but I'm no hurricane predictorerer.

Big question is, should I go to Toddler Skate? It's a 25 minute drive, we'd be there from 10 to noon. Is there going to be a deluge that's going to make getting home hellish?

Most of the rain is still over east of the point/big bend/whatever you people call it. It won't be a deluge (heavy rain is still more east). I'd say safe ... and heavier rain by later this PM. It will probably be raining on your way back a touch. I would go for it, but that's me.

I would say just be careful. Obviously. Heaviest rain banes are now south of Tallahassee ... not sure exactly how far that is away from you, but the storm is moving west at around 6mph if that helps ...

Hahah that is 100% true. Grand sexy gestures like that are great, but when you're thinking "We could have paid off a big chunk of the Chase card with that" it kind of diminishes it. Damn practicality!

Even if you're not catching the events on TV, have you been following the drug controversy there? Where some horses have now been banned because of capsaicin? http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/olympics/equestrian/7574220.stm

As a Canadian (and having had the opportunity to watch world class events at our local facility (Spruce Meadows in Calgary)), I'm pretty happy to see how well our riders have done. Although Iam not watching the events - personal reasons about the political situation/human rights in China.

I about died when I saw those Saints Crocs - they are SO cute! As fast as Mr. B is growing, he'll be in them in no time!!

I LOVED swimming when I was a baby (still do actually!), my mom said I would jump in even if she wasn't in the water. I caused her some major panic a few times!

I think the doggie pepper spray holder is a good idea!

Have a wonderful weekend!
