[info]lucymoore, thank you so much for the Netflix! What a nice surprise, I appreciate it!

I absolutely loathe the Bill Gates/Jerry Seinfeld ad. I will pause the dvr so I can fast forward past it. Hate. So irritating.

I think I've decided to have a birthday breakfast instead of a birthday dinner. I love breakfast so much & it's a good excuse to go over to the beach & eat at Another Broken Egg Too. Yummy.

Cash came really close to saying "tiger" tonight, he pointed at the tiger's picture and said "die-gah".

Still refuses to even attempt "mamma" though.

The night didn't go as well as the last one, he woke up at two, went back to sleep super quick with no crying, but then woke up again, this time for good, at 0530. Still, that's better than five, maybe he'll make it to six by the end of the week!

Sean was long gone by that hour, he had an early show today. Cash and I got up and did our morning thing. He's really been obsessed with putting things away lately, at the Jr Museum he would crawl through the tree into the toddler area, put all the stray balls back into the ballpit, then demand to be let out the gate. Like the sheriff, cleaning up toddler town.

So he put his Legos back in the bag, then dumped them all out, then put them back in again. And gathered up balls from all over the house and put them in a plastic drawer he's been dragging around the house lately. He likes to put it behind the sofa and then stand on it so he can see over. Thinks watching teevee like this is very funny.

We went to Michelle's, with a stop to get her some McCrack. Actually last night when I told Cash we were going to go play with them today, he ran to the door and started whining to go right then! And then today when we turned onto their street, he started to shriek with delight. And pant like a doggie, in anticipation of seeing Dixie.

I hung out for about a half hour while Cash and Andrew played together, I hugged and kissed Cash and told him I would come back and to be good. He shook his head no when I asked him for kisses! I told him I was going bye bye & he asked me to pick him up, then started waving. I explained that only mamma was going bye bye, he was going to stay and play. He got down then & led me into the playroom, wouldn't let go of my hand! Finally Michelle distracted him with some Annie's cheddar bunnies and I made my escape.

The microdermabrasion felt great, my skin needed that so badly! The aesthetician was nice but not chatty, so I was able to simply relax and enjoy.

Once I had shiny clean skin, I headed back to Michelle's to see how my boy had done. He was boo-hoo-hooing when I got there, but Michelle said he had been all noise and virtually no real tears the entire time. He also played Legos, pushed Andrew in the car, and played with toys, wah wah wahing all the time, but still, playing. He stopped the second I showed up, as opposed to crying on me for a few minutes as he did the last two times. I saw that as a good sign!

He stopped his hunger strike when I got back too and ate some rice cakes and licorice. Then him and Andrew set about playing like nothing happened!

Michelle gave me a Victoria's Secret bag with birthday goodies inside, I am saving it for saturday to open it though. I'd guess it's smell pretties, since it feels a little heavy to be clothing & as close as we are, I don't think we're at the buy each other lingerie phase of our relationship yet :) That was so super nice of her, she is a great friend!

We stayed for a little over an hour, mostly playing outside. Cash got in Andrew's toddler swing on the swing set and refused to get out for a good 15 minutes! I think it made him tired, because he fell asleep before we made it home and Michelle only lives 3 minutes away. He let me carry him inside and put him in bed, slept for two more hours.

Woke up kind of crabby, but we had a nice walk anyhow. Went to CVS after for expensive sunscreen/moisturizer to put on my new face.

Cash likes to stand up in shopping carts now, it's not a great habit. Also in his high chair.

Sean made tortellini for dinner, and Cash actually ate it. He tried ravioli once and has refused to touch any kind of stuffed pasta since. But I guess daddy has the magic touch.

I love watching Cash & daddy walking together

Rock Star baby

Who also drives an ice cream truck

We watched the first episode of Dexter season two. So far so good!

Cash pooped on the floor when he was running up and down the hall pre-bath. I cleaned him up, then Sean put him in the tub while I went to get the poop off the floor. And stepped right in a huge pile of it I hadn't seen on the hall runner. I almost slipped and fell from it, as it was I ground it into the rug really well. Lovely. Poor Sean had to clean it up after while I was getting Cash into his jammies. Mr B found it all quite entertaining.

When I was snuggling him to sleep, he just started to laugh out of nowhere. I don't know what was so funny, but he was just chuckling "heh heh heh" style. Then he rolled over to his musical lamb, rolled back to me holding her, and laid there cuddled up to me, fiddling with the turn key and making sweet little baby noises until he drifted off. It was so precious.

I extricated my arm from under him and he didn't stir. Crept out of the room and *BOOM* kicked the baby gate with my foot as I went over. Poor Cash leapt up all wild eyed, but thankfully as soon as I sat back down on the bed, he laid down and went right out again.

I don't know what we're going to do tomorrow after weigh-in. Michelle had to cancel our plans, so Mr B and I are at a loose end. I'll come up with something!

Random question- when you wore a sling for Cash, what sort was it? Did Sean have one? I'm looking to get my Sean one for Rachel, since she likes to be up close to the chest (whereas C was always content to sleep in a lap).

Yeah, we both had Peanut Shells. Cash liked Sean's better, because it was the microfleece, so softer and more cuddly than mine which was stretch cotton. But he didn't like being worn in general after about 2 months, so we didn't get much use out of them. Still, they were good slings, no adjusting or wrapping & tying, etc...

C was great, and R is great, in the Snugli, but that's best for going out and walking around. Plus it doesn't fit Sean. I need something simple for around the house, mostly for when he's sitting working on the computer.

Michaela refuses to say Mamma or Mommy too. It is to the point where someone says "Say Mommy" and she says "Daddy" and laughs.

Yeah, Cash will point at pictures of Sean and I & say "DADA!" and we say yes, and who is that with dada? and he points at me. Won't say a word.

I am going back for 4 or 5 more, that's my birthday present! I did a series of 10 back in 203 and it made a world of difference. Pregnancy screwed up my skin, I have all these hyperpigmented patches on my cheeks and forehead, so I'm hoping this will fix them.

I love pictures of children and their parents walking like that! I hope to get a good one of Justin and the girls walking on this bridge this fall. I have one w/Audrey and Justin from last year and it's one of my most favorite pictures.

Have you tried the new Annies Sour Cream and Onion Bunnies? Mmmmm! Best thing ever!

Yay! for Cash sleeping tons! :)

No, I need to get some of those bunnies. I saw them the other day but wasn't sure if Cash would like them.

I like to walk with Daddy,
His steps are short like mine.
He doesn't say "Now Hurry Up,"
He always takes his time.

I like to walk with Daddy,
His eyes see things like mine do -
Wee pebbles bright, a funny cloud,
Half hidden drops of dew.

Most people have to hurry,
They don't stop and see.
I'm glad that God made Daddy,
Unrushed, and young like me.

Dexter season 2 is good. If you weren't rooting for the bad guy before, you will be now.:)

Nolan is very random in the words he speaks, too.:)

I read that "the average 16 month old boy has 30 words he uses regularly". Cash has 3! I don't know any boy Cash's age who knows 30 words.

He did say mamamamamamamama in the bathtub last night and then again this morning. Not to me, but at least I know he can say it!
