(That's what the first picture made me think!)

(Then I thought of our MD/PhD student telling me about his obstetrics rotation, in which he helped deliver babies for couples who were both more interested in watching the World Cup on TV than having the baby. At first I thought he was just talking about the fathers, but he said no, the mothers would also be like "Yeah yeah yeah, push, okay, wait GOOOOOOOOOOAL!")

I'm so proud of Cash!

You know what? I am actually hoping that #2 will be born during the 2010 World Cup so I can watch it in the hospital!!! I don't blame them, I loooove international football!

Hahaha, nice! That would be pretty cool actually -- an interesting distraction from labor, and hey, it gives you a good excuse to sit and watch TV!

They keep you in the hospital for 2 days, you don't sleep much, and there's not much to do BUT watch teevee and hold your new baby. Cash & I watched a 2 hour special on the history of the KKK because nothing else was on. At least during World Cup there'd be plenty to watch & enjoy!

Actually I was watching American Idol an hour after Cash was born :)

I did feel like it would never get here, yes. It's amazing! He even fell asleep for his nap right on schedule & has been out for 15 minutes shy of 3 hours!
