The season finale of Wipeout sucked. They should have gotten all the winners together for ultimate Wipeout.

Watching teevee tonight, Cash got ahold of my SuperClip that I'd set on the table while I brushed my hair. That's a big treat for him, he never gets to play with them because they are sharp and metal. He then came over to me and held out his hand for my hairbrush. I tried to see if he'd trade me the brush for the clip, but no, he wanted them both.

Then he tucked the clip under his chin to free up a hand. With which he took my hand and tugged hard on it, to make me sit down in the floor.

He then proceeded to "brush" my hair (mostly knocking me on the skull with the hairbrush, but at least I've gotten him to be gentle about it) and occasionally placing the clip carefully on top of my head. He's such a sweet little boy.

Once again, Cash woke up at 0440. I laid down with him and got him back to sleep sometime after that, woke up later and took myself back to bed He woke up for good at 0645 which is fine by me. We've just got to eliminate that early wake up!

I had the first of my insurance funded massage therapy appointments this morning, so we went to Michelle's, via Starbucks for 2 caffeinated hot chocolates.

Cash always pants like a dog and claps his hands when we turn onto their street now, it's so funny. As soon as he was out of the car, he went running up to Dixie dog and they shared kisses and pets.

As usual, it took a while to get Mr B into the house, as he has to play with all Andrew's outdoor toys and climb up/go down the slide first.

I kept telling him he should go in to say hi to Andrew before playing with all his toys. He waved in the direction of the house and said "Ah-dee!" which is his stab at "Andrew" before going right on playing wit the slide.

Eventually Andrew came out in his Thomas jim-jams and started telling Cash to come in. That worked!

They immediately set to playing with Andrews new ball popper toy that Michelle found at Goodwill. It needs balls to go in it, but they don't care! It makes music! Michelle was telling Andrew they have to fix it because it's broken, so Andrew turned it upside-down and started drilling on it with his toy drill. Then he handed Cash a toy chainsaw and apparently told him to help with the repairs. THey are so funny together.

I kept telling Cash all morning that mama was going to go bye-bye, that he was going to stay and play with Miss Michelle and Andrew, that I would be back, I always came back to him, but that I had to go bye-bye for a little while. I gave him loads of hugs and kisses for the half hour I was there with him, and just kept explaining how I was going to go bye-bye but that I would be back very soon and he should play and have fun while I was gone.

As I started to get my stuff together, he got a bit whiny and wanted me to hold him. I sat him down on the sofa and told him I was going bye bye, then opened the door. He started to scream and Michelle said to just go go go.

So I went.

Kay Lynn was late & then she had to run all my insurance, so I only got about a half a massage. But since insurance was paying and there's no co-pay, I wasn't going to argue. And she did a great job, the difference was remarkable even with just a half hour. I can't wait for next week when I will have a full one!

I hustled back to Michelle's, and was happy to hear silence when I got out of the car. I opened the front door and saw Cash holding a toy and watching television. Michelle made a victory gesture and then put a finger to her lips, so I quietly sat down in the glider. Andrew was in his room and called Cash in, Mr B went happily to see the train Andrew was playing with. I went to the bathroom and came back, Cash wandered out of Andrew's room into the playroom, still without noticing me, obviously as content as could be. Michelle and I were both grinning like fools at each other!

Cash came out of the playroom and went back to see what Andrew was up to. Andrew was trying to get by and pushed Cash out of the way, not hard or meanly, just trying to get by, but Mr B lost his balance and fell down. He started to cry and went to Michelle, holding his arms up to be held. At that point she picked him up and said "Hey, look who is here!"

He reached out for me, so I took him and cuddled him while he got over the fall. I told him over and over how proud I was of him and how I 'd told him I would be back! He stopped crying pretty quickly and hopped off my lap to go back to playing.

Michelle said he cried for maybe 20 minutes after I left. WHich means 1 hour and 20 minutes of happy baby. Once he started eating a cookie, she knew we were in the clear, this is the first time he has eaten while I was gone. She said he was crying at first but watching Andrew, and she could just see him thinking "Now Andrew looks like he is having fun, why can't I do that too? I like playing with him normally....why not play with him when mommy is gone?"

Also, apparently, he likes the Doodlebops. That is when he really stopped whining and started to play, they came on and he started dancing, then lined up all Andrew's musical instruments on the window seat and started to play with them. When the show ended on Disney, she put on a Doodlebops dvd (Andrew is a big fan) and Cash went on enjoying it.

Guess I need to get him some of those!

So, victory at last. We are both so proud of Cash & I am so grateful to Michelle for being willing to stick with it!

Tomorrow I am watching Andrew while she has a tooth pulled, so hopefully that will go okay. Andrew has really been super sweet and affectionate with me lately, so I am hoping he'll enjoy playing here with me and Cash.

We stayed for about an hour and then Andrew needed a nap so Mr B and I left. He fell asleep as we pulled into the driveway, so I put him in bed. He only slept for an hour, so I didn't get much done while he napped!

He came in and led me back to his room, so I thought maybe he'd go back to sleep, but he just wanted to cuddle for a bit before getting up.

We saw Miss Betty on our walk, she brought her husband home yesterday and said she'd saved two servings of my baked penne rigate for his homecoming because it was so good and she knew he would like it. She said it was the perfect homecoming meal for them to share & she really appreciated it. That was sweet of her to say! On our way back, he was outside their their daughter, and I have to say he looks fantastic, I wouldn't have known he'd just have heart surgery to look at him.

Cash played naked outside for a while, I sprayed him with the hose and he ran around laughing. Then it started to rain, so I bundled him up in a towel and brought him in.

When Sean came home, he took Cash out to play in the puddles which made Mr B a very happy boy.

We had hot dogs for dinner, Hebrew National, which are the only kind I was allowed to eat growing up! Cash ate almost 3 of them, he loves weenies.

I watched tuesdays 90210, I have to admit, they have got me hooked. I thought Kelly's line about "I asked him what he was doing when Kurt Cobain died & he said he was watching cartoons" was brilliant.

And I love Arrested Development's Lucille being the wacky grandma here too.

Sean stayed in the office to avoid the 90210 and then joined us for The Shield. Every episode I just get sadder and sadder that it's almost over. Such a great show, what a ride they have taken us on over the years.

Mr B was a little crabby through the evening, I think just a combination of tiredness and his eye-teeth (still).

I'm so excited about our breakthrough with Michelle! He's sleeping, he's getting to where he'll stay with Michelle and Andrew, he's almost totally weaned, I feel like we are clearing all our major hurdles all at once suddenly. All those things accomplished, I don't have anything else serious to deal with until potty training!

I won our carpet cleaner's monthly trivia contest last month, we got a pair of movie tickets. I think maybe by the time the new Bond movie comes out, Cash will be fine staying with Michelle and Andrew for the length of the film so Sean and I can actually go have a movie date!

Not quite there yet, bud

Mr B was in a commanding mood this day

He picked me a yummy flower

TAKE IT!

He was so tired, he fell asleep within five minutes of laying down. Hope he stays that way until at least 0530!

Yay for "you time" while he plays with Andrew at Michelle's. What big boy breakthroughs he is making lately!

I know, it really does seem like it is all happening at once after so long spent worrying about it all!

Good job Mr. B! Next step is trying to push Mommy back out when she comes back because you're having too much fun to leave!

I'm so happy for you guys that the trading off is working out. I loved when we did that with a friend in Austin. It's so nice when you first can get a few hours to do stuff and know the kiddo is happy too.

I have to admit that I like 90210 as well.

I'm so glad he's having fun with Michelle and Andrew! That's great.

Yeah, I was expecting it to be an abomination, so I'm pleasantly surprised they are throwing so many bones to the old school fans!

I have seen a random couple of episodes of the Doodlebops (in early 2007, when I was staying with one of N's friends who had a small child), and I have to tell you that watching that show is like being on acid. Really, I felt like I was on a trip.

I'm kind of praying that when the time comes for me to entertain a small child of my own, I can stick to classic Disney stuff... but probably not.

Yeah, I hoped that too :) ThHen I'd hoped we could just stick to the PBS kids stuff on Sprout. But eventually they see things at their friends houses & off you go!

I'm still w/PBS. Thank goodness. The only shows Audrey likes outside of PBS are Little Bear & Franklin.

OMG, if you REALLY want to see a serious acid trip masquerading as a kid's show, check out "Yo Gabba Gabba" on Noggin/Nick.

Wow. Trippy.

I had a dream about you guys last night! Except I don't think our kids were there. You all had this huge family gathering and we were there. I had my own room and I had to go poop? lol. Anyways, Justin and Sean were drinking these huge beers and saying how we didn't know how to have fun anymore!

That was a crappy dream. I got to hang out with you though! :)

Way to go Mr. B!

I wish my insurance would pay for massages. It would help with the fibromyalgia pain. But, I'm lucky that my insurance will even pay for my insulin they are so bad. I miss Federal Employee Insurance!

Hah I hate when I get "best cheeseburger in Vegas" questions because then I start craving a Tiffany burger from the Liberty diner in White Cross pharmacy and I can't get one for God knows how long!
